"I Tira-Miss You" is a sweet treat and food delivery app meant to connect its users to various 'ghost kitchens' that prepare a wide variety of delicious desserts and sweet foods. The main intent of the app is allowing users to send these packages to other people with custom made notes, as a means of keeping people connected through the pandemic and beyond!
A ghost kitchen is a pop up kitchen that has no customer facing element to it, in other words, no shop you can walk into and purchase food directly from. I Tira-Miss You will operate solely through its online delivery functionality.
I have developed a workable prototype of the app itself, designed to showcase what each user would be interfacing with and experiencing as they navigate through the app.
RESEARCH
Low Fidelity Wireframes
I joined the production of the app a bit late into the game, already more than a month following the creation of my peers' projects. This was due to me changing tack and deciding to join with Kaitlyn Drury, who had conceived this project and was choosing between creating the app or an animated graphic to accompany it. Joining her, I began to work on the app side of this endeavor, with my end goal being a functional prototype. Because I began later than most of my peers, I had to accelerate my process slightly, leading to less concrete research to show.
DESIGN
Colors and Typography
The design was developed around the work done previously by my partner in this effort, Kaitlyn Drury, who used the Grenze typeface as the primary one associated with the app and all surrounding media. In addition, the color palette chosen by Kaitlyn, and used in the various icons she created for the purpose of this app, was used to begin the process of designing its visuals. I developed the palette above by choosing colors that could complement and work alongside the primarily purple and yellow palette I was originally working with, developing the two blue shades that will come to dominate the aesthetics of the app. Comfortaa and Roboto Black were used to provide legible sans serif typefaces that could be better viewed on even a small screen, compared to the more detailed Grenze.
